All set for ‘Revolution in Lahore’ Jalsa today
The stage is set for revolution to strike Lahore today as all arrangements have been completed for the mega public meeting of Pakistan Awami Tehreek on the historic plains of famed Minar-e-Pakistan, a place where All-India Muslim League held its annual session and approved Pakistan Resolution under the leadership of Quaid-i-Azam on March 23, 1940. All the plains surrounding Minar-e-Pakistan have been turned into a venue for the public meeting. The people of Lahore will take part in the public meeting in their hundreds of thousands to express their disapproval of the corrupt system. Three thousand workers have been deputed to do security duties.
Six walk-through gates have been set-up for entry of participants. One gate has been specified for VIP, two for women and three for male participants. Thousands of lights have been arranged in addition to sound system. The flags of allied parties have been hung on the rail around Minar-e-Pakistan. Sardar Aseff Ahmad Ali, Ghulam Mustafa Khar, J Salik, and leaders of Sunni Ittehad Council and Majlis-e-Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen visited the site to inspect the arrangements of the public meeting. Thousands of flexes and posters of PAT, PML, SIC, and MWM have been hung on road across the Lahore city. Welcome banners also grace the roads around the Minar-e-Pakistan.
