The first official meeting between Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and Ayatollah Mohsen Araki took place on 14 February 2014 in Qom. Further meetings took place the next day with other very senior Ayatollahs including the 95 year old Grand Ayatollah Lotfollah Safi Golpaygani who is regarded as a “Marja”.
