UK- Foundation day of MWL celebrated

Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League (UK) celebrated the 26th anniversary of MWL Foundation Day in Manchester. MWL chapters from all over the North and Midlands attended this auspicious event.

Speakers, at the occasion, highlighted the role of women in promoting peace and harmony in the society. They said that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri founded Minhaj women League 26 years ago, which was acknowledgement of their role to change society through dissemination of positive values in the society. They said that women were part and parcel of any movement and played a leading role in its success. They said that no society could progress without involving women in all sectors of national life.

They paid glowing tributes to Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri for his role in empowering women and giving them a platform to project and promote women rights within the confines of Islam. They pledged to continue to work for women empowerment and play their role as agent of peaceful and positive change.
