Shabban is the month of collective penance: Allama Faraht Abbas Shah
Allama Farhat Hussain Shah, General Secretary of Minhaj Ulama Council, has said that Shabaan is the month of forgiveness and salvation. He said that Shab-e-Barat falls during this month in which Allah Almighty pardons the sinners who repent of their misdeeds. He said that we should use this rare window of opportunity in this blessed month and bring about massive reforms in our conduct. He said that we should not let hatred, ill will, and enmity to get the better of us. He advised that we should spread happiness in this blessed month. He said that if we forgive people, then Allah Almighty would also forgive us.
Allama Farhat Abbas Shah expressed these views while addressing a consultative meeting of Minhaj Ulama Council here in the central secretariat. Allama Imadadullah Qadri, Allama Usman Sialvi, Allama Mir Asif Akbar, Allama Muhammad Hussain Azad, Allama Mumtaz Saddiqi and others were present on the occasion.
Allama Farhat Abbas Shah said that it is due to our misdeeds that we are caught up in multiple crises as a nation. He said that religious scholars have an important role to play in creating awareness against terrorism and extremism. He said that the religious scholars should come forward and spread the real teachings of Islam in the society. He said that we need to promote peace, tolerance, and love. He said that if we collectively rise against terrorists, there is no reason why we cannot defeat them. He said that Shabaan is the month to please Allah and seek collective penance for our misdeeds.
