Minhaj-ul-Qur’an Women League, Lahore PRESENT, Seerah Seminar, Establishing International Peace in the light of Sirat ur Rasool (saw)

Minhaj ul Qur’an women league (students’ wing) organized Seerat Seminar with the title of “Establishing International Peace in the light of Seerat ur Rasool (saw)” on 25th March 2008. In this seminar, there was a competition in the format of a debate. Many students from all over Lahore participated in this debate competition as well as many lecturers and professors who attended from several colleges and universities of Lahore.

Tayyaba Nawaz (Minhaj College for Women) recited verses from the Holy Qur’an at the start of seminar and Saima Aslam paid salutations to Holy Prophet PBUH. Rabia Urooj Malik (Central Students Convinier) offered introductory words and welcomed all guests present there. Participants of the debate competition presented their point of view in a very beautiful and unique way. Dr. Ali Akbar Qadri (director FMRI), Dr. Nawaz Hassan Zaidi (Principal Govt. College Lahore), Mrs. Misbah Siyal (Minhaj College for women) were among the Jury members of the competition.

Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President Supreme Council, Mihaj-ul-Qur’an International presided the seminar and Miss Ayesha Qurat ul A’in was special guest. Ameer-e-Tehreek Miskeen Faiz ur Rehman Durrani, Naib Ameer-e-Tehreek Br. Iqbal sb, Nazim-e-A’ala Dr. Raheeq Ahmad Abbassi and Naib Nazim-e-A’ala Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz were also among the guests of the seminar.

Respected Ayesha Qurat ul A’in baji delivered an inspiring and logical speech at the end of Seminar. She gave practical solutions for the establishment of peace in this world. Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri delivered a special concluding speech. He highlighted the aspect of RAHMAT of Holy Prophet (Pbuh) and emphasized that our own behaviors and dealing should be according to the teachings of Holy Prophet (Pbuh). This will strengthen the Muslims in achieving a their marvelous status.

Farah Faiz from Quid-e-Azam Law College Lahore won first prize for her excellent speech while Mina Ilyas from Govt. College University won second prize and Saira from Minhaj Degree College for Women Lahore won third prize. Respected guests distributed gifts among winners and jury members. Nazim-e-A’ala Dr. Raheeq Ahmad Abbassi did dua at the end of the special Seerat Seminar.
