Terrorists are killers of humanity: PAT
PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and Chief Organizer Maj (r) Muhammad Saeed have strongly condemned the terrorists’ attack on the Bacha Khan University in Charsadda today. They said that terrorists are the killer of humanity, adding that terrorism constitutes the biggest challenge to the nation’s stability and survival. They prayed to Allah to rest the souls of the martyred in peace and grant speedy recovery to the injured. They said that the supporters, facilitators and ideological companions of the terrorists need to be taken on with full might of the state to be able to stem the tide of terrorism.
The PAT leaders said that the government is the biggest hurdle in the implementation of NAP. They said that the present Parliament is wedded to its narrow interests and hence unable to move on the questions of public importance. They said that those who challenge the decisions of the military courts are strengthening the hands of terrorists. They said that those who question the verdicts of the military courts are enemies of peace and supporters of terrorists. They said that at a time when the scourge of terrorism is eating into vitals of state and society, there is a manifest lack of seriousness on the part of the government. They said that the terrorists are choosing colleges and universities as their target.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and Major (r) Muhammad Saeed expressed these views while addressing a meeting of the Central Working Council of PAT at the central secretariat today. GM Malik, Noorullah Saddiqi, Sajid Bhatti, Basharat Jaspal, Farah Naz, Afnan Babar, Qazi Faizul Islam, Jawad Hamid, Fayyaz Warraich, Brig. (r) Muhammad Mushtaq, and other leaders were also present on the occasion.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that the rulers are busy in taking credit for the successes of Operation Zarb-e-Azb instead of fully implementing the NAP in letter and spirit. He said that had the rulers given up expediency and showed seriousness, the menace of terrorism could be overcome to a large extent.
Meanwhile, an emergency meeting of MSM was held at the central secretariat in the backdrop of the terrorist attack on the Bacha Khan University in Charsadda. The meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of President MSM Irfan Yousaf, strongly condemned the act of terrorism. A prayer was made for the martyred teachers and students.
Speaking on the occasion, Irfan Yousaf said that cowardly terrorists are threatened by terrorism. He said that the brave students are not going to be deterred by the cowardly acts. He said that they would carry on with Zarb-e-Aman and Zarb-e-Ilm with full courage. He said that we would soon launch a national drive of signatures for Zarb-e-Ilm and Zarb-e-Aman in the educational institutions of the country.
