Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri Addresses ICCTVE–2026 at Minhaj University Lahore

Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Conference Chair and Deputy Chairman, Board of Governors, Minhaj University Lahore, delivered the keynote address at the 1st International Conference on Countering Terrorism and Violent Extremism (ICCTVE–2026) held at Minhaj University Lahore.
He emphasized the need for a comprehensive and community centered approach to addressing violent extremism and strengthening long-term social resilience.
In his address, he highlighted that sustainable responses to radicalization require moving beyond security-centric measures and adopting integrated frameworks built on education, social cohesion, institutional trust, inclusive governance, and community engagement.
Drawing upon constitutional principles, ethical governance traditions, and contemporary policy approaches, he underlined the importance of promoting dialogue, strengthening institutions, supporting vulnerable communities, expanding access to education, and encouraging responsible civic participation.
Prof. Dr. Hussain further stressed that effective prevention of violent extremism requires collaboration among academia, policymakers, religious scholars, civil society, and local communities to develop informed, balanced, and sustainable pathways toward peace.
He also proposed a multidimensional framework focused on Prevention, Engagement, Accountability, Counter-Narratives, and Economic Empowerment (PEACE) as key pillars for strengthening social resilience and supporting community-led approaches to de-radicalization and reintegration.
Concluding his address, he appreciated the efforts of the School of Peace and Counter Terrorism Studies and collaborating institutions for creating an academic platform that encourages evidence-based dialogue and practical policy engagement on contemporary security challenges.
