PPP Secretary General calls on Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Secretary General of ruling Pakistan People’s Party, Jahangir Bader, called on Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri at his residence. This meeting was held on the day following Eid-ul-Fitr. Jahangir Bader felicitated Shaykh-ul-Islam on Eid on behalf of PPP and its leadership. He paid a glowing tribute to Shaykh-ul-Islam for his efforts and services rendered in multiple fields. He said MQI was playing its due role in promoting international peace and order in the world. Mohtrama Benazir Bhutto was the life member of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. He said MQI was coping with diverse challenges facing Islam under the able leadership of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. “The personality of Shaykh-ul-Islam is an authority for the entire Islam world from point of view of scholarship and we are proud of him, he added.”

Welcoming PPP Secretary General, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that MQI was playing its part for the spread of interfaith harmony and establishment of global peace. Islamic world in general and Pakistan in particular were facing allegations of terrorism and it was responsibility of all political and religious parties and national leaders that they played their role in promoting peace and harmony from within and without. He said the doors of MQI were open for the followers of every faith and religion. Islam teaches the lesson to project and promote interfaith dialogue and harmony in addition to establishment of global peace. Both leaders discussed matters of mutual national interest in the meeting that spanned well over an hour. Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahamd Abbasi was also present in the meeting.
