Bazm-e-Qadria (Minhaj University) organizes Mehfil-e-Naat

The annual Mehfil-e-Naat was held on the roof of Gosha-e-Durood in the central secretariat on November 20, 2008 under the banner of Bazm-e-Qadria (Minhaj University). Held in a beautiful venue lighted by electric bulbs, the proceedings of the programme got under way at 8 p.m. under the spiritual patronage of sons of Huzoor Qudwa-tul-Aluia, Pir Sayyid Mahmood Mohiydeen al-Qadri al-Gillani, Pir Sayyid Abdul Qadir Jamal-ud-Din al-Qadri al-Gillani and Pir Sayyid Muhammad Ziauddin al-Qadri al-Gillani. Sahibzada Sayyid Tahir Hassamuddin al-Qadri al-Gillani and Sahibzada Abdur Rehman Saifuddin al-Qadri al-Gillani presided over the programme. Amir MQI Sahibzada Miskin Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani and Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi were the guests of honour at the occasion. Al-Hajj Aminuddin Qadri, Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, G.M. Malik, Allama Muhammad Miraj-ul-Islam, Mufti Abdul Qayyum Khan Hazarvi, Prof Muhammad Nawaz Zafar, Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Muhammad Saleem Qadri, Haji Muhammad Riaz, Haji Muhammad Ilyas Qadri and other leaders were also present at the occasion. In addition to students of COSIS, a large number of women and children also participated in the programme. A separate venue was fixed for them.

The proceedings of the programme got under way with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Qari Lal Muhammad Barvi, Qari Sayyid Khalid Hameed Kazami, and Qari Muhammad Usman separately. Shahzad Brothers of COSIS, Muhammad Irshad Azam Chishti, Muhammad Ali, Shahzad Hanif Madani, Minhaj Naat Council, Qari Anser Ali and Muhammad Afzal Noshahi made the atmosphere spiritually ecstatic through recital of Naats in their unique styles. Muhammad Afzal Noshahi and others also presented the Manqabat for Huzoor Ghous-ul-Azam.

Shahzad Rasool Qadri, chief organizer of Bazm-e-Qadria, welcomed the guests. Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Nazim-e-Ala of MQI, presented welcome address and thanked Sahibzadgans upon their arrival in the secretariat of MQI. Others people also expressed their views. Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Baghdadi and Hafiz Saeed-ul-Hassan Tahir jointly conducted the proceedings of the programme. The programme concluded on Dua led by the respected guests.
