Minhaj-ul-Quran UK launched an anti terrorism Bus yesterday at Warwick University during first anti terrorism summer camp 2010. Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founding leader and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, inaugurated the new mobile library, which contains anti-terror literature, DVDs, CDs and other written material about the concept of Jihad in Islam. The aim of mobile library is to approach the students of UK colleges and universities and give them access to the authentic material to clarify their apprehensions about Shariah, Jihad, democracy and human rights.
It's the summer camp with a difference. No whittling of sticks or food on the open fire. Warwick University this weekend is the venue for what is billed as the UK's first anti-terrorism camp and the BBC has been along to find out why so many Muslims turned up. Inside the lecture hall, you could hear a pin drop. Row upon row of earnest-looking young men and women were scribbling notes into a classily-bound journal handed out with their welcome pack.
LONDON: Britain's first "anti-terror" summer camp opened Saturday, with the goal of teaching Muslim youth how to rebuff extremists who try to recruit them at schools and in online chat rooms.
LONDON The first major Muslim event designed specifically to tackle Islamist extremism and terrorism will take place in the UK this weekend. Kicking off on Saturday, al-Hidayah 2010 is a three-day event taking place at the University of Warwick in the English Midlands.
Addressing a vital issue which is being prominent amongst the extremists is to take over Britain and western countries and to host a Muslim flag on 10 Downing Street; Dr Qadri rejected this notion and said it was nothing but non-sense and ignorance of Islamic teachings. He said this kind of thinking shows the mental illness of such individuals and they need mental treatment.
The three-day event in Coventry is expected to see more than 1,000 young Muslims at sessions teaching religious arguments to use against extremists. The event has been organised by the Minhaj ul-Quran to promote a fatwa, or religious ruling, against terrorism by its leader Dr Muhammad Tahir ul-Qadri.
Coping Terrorism
Minhaj-ul-Quran International UK held a seminar at the House of Commons to explore solutions to tackle non-violent extremism and radicalism in Britain. The audience included representatives of think tanks, police, FCO, DCLG, embassy officials and different organisations.
Jihad Conference : Rescuing Peace, Ending Extremism
On June 17, 2010, Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Finland) arranged a seminar on Islamic Concept of Peace and Human Rights in the campus of the University of Toronto. Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri was the leading speaker on the occasion. MQI leaders from different parts of Europe namely Faiz Alam Qadri, Aqeel Qadir and Bilal Uppal were also in attendance of the seminar besides the office holders of MQI Finland and a large number of associates and workers.
By the grace of Almighty Allah, on the 13th of June 2010, Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League (France) had the honour to organize an event on Father’s Day. Mrs Mumtaz Malik hosted the program. She began by detailing a hadith about the real meaning of Jihad. She said that a man came to see the Holy Prophet (pbuh) to ask for the authorization to go to Jihad. The Holy Prophet (pbuh) asked him if his parents were alive. If yes, he had better look after them, for it was equivalent to Jihad.
The conference entitled as 'Jihad Hijacked, was organised by Muslim Youth League UK (MYL UK). The keynote speaker on the occasion was Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri who gave a comprehensive lecture on the true Islamic concept of Jihad. Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri explained that the 31 verses of the Holy Quran mentioned non-violent forms of Jihad such as struggling to gain knowledge, spirituality, charity and character reformation.
The inaugural ceremony of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri's book "Terrorism and Fitna-e-Khawarij" was held in a local hotel under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Lahore chapter. Paying tribute to the scholarly services of Shaykh-ul-Islam, the speakers said that he has infused confidence among the Pakistani nation by giving historic Fatwa (religious decree) against terrorism.
A point was raised by Cenk and Richard Eskow on the Friday's show about whether or not the muslim Imams and Clerics have condemned terrorism enough as being against Islam.
We, the undersigned journalists of Pakistan and defenders of press freedom around the world, condemn with the utmost firmness all recourse to suicide bombings in the middle of crowds of civilians that result in the deaths of innocent people including media workers.
The terrorists who recently killed more than 2 dozen people in Baquba, Iraq, in a series of pre-election suicide attacks, were not on the receiving end of a message sent earlier this month by a prominent Muslim scholar.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that another area of misunderstanding is that people with vested interest propagated that the Sufis taught monasticism and renunciation of world. Sufism was debunked to prove as if the Sufis were the creation of another world having nothing to do with practical realities of life. The fact of the matter is that Sufism is the embodiment of peace, tranquility and love and nothing else. It represents the best in humanity for its welfare.
Pakistani newspapers recently picked up an intriguing story from the country's security establishment. Reporters learned that their government had intercepted a secret message circulating within Tehrik-e-Taliban, the most prominent of several militant groups trying to overthrow the government in Islamabad.
Pakistan intercepted a message that the Pakistani Taliban (TTP) has added an Islamic scholar to their list of people to kill. This shouldn't surprise anyone since the list simply says "Everybody, even Muslim, since they are just sitting there. I mean right freakin' there for Allah sakes."
