Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, delivered the final address on the topic of "Why Believe in God and Why Follow Religion? In his speech, he said that anyone who contemplates with piety upon the universe within and without human beings cannot deny the unity of Allah and cannot remain without faith in Him. He extended his love and prayers to the sons and daughters who came to the city of retreat for the first time.

He said that the changes that occur within individuals in the pursuit of proximity to the essence of reality, encompassing personal, psychological, and social transformations, are referred to as "fana" by the Sufis.

He stated that science is confirming the truths stated in the Quran. He asked the youth to strengthen the bond with Allah's Book to build a strong relationship with the Almighty.
Professor Dr. Hussain Mahiuddin Qadri addressed an educational session on the topic of "History of Sufism and Teachings of Sufis" in the city of spiritual retreat (Itikaf City). He stated that those who practice Islamic teachings in their true essence are called Sufis. He said that Sufism is about purifying oneself from both external and internal impurities in the light of religious teachings.
Founding-leader of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, addressed thousands of participants at Itikaf City, speaking on the topic of "Why Believe in God? And Why Embrace Religion" He stated that those who deny the existence of Allah are themselves misguided and suffer from mental and psychological disorders. He said that these elements, instead of being recipients of divine mercy, are spreading misguidance as deputies of Satan.
Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, the Chairman of MQI Supreme Council, addressed the inaugural educational session of Itikaf City. Speaking during the session, he said that those who become disgusted with the world and lose interest in its pleasures are bestowed with true tranquility. When asked about hunger, Hazrat Rabia Basri replied: "To be free from all desires and appetites of the self is hunger."
Minhaj University Lahore has appointed three eminent scholars in the fields of education, peace, and security, conferring upon them the title of Professor.
