Minhaj-ul-Qur’an Women League Islamabad celebrated arrival of Holy month of Rabi-ul Awwal on Monday, 10th March, 2008. This remarkable program was organized at Check-Inn hotel, Islamabad. This was the 10th annual programme organized by Minhaj-ul-Qur’an Women League Islamabad and more than 3,000 women attended this program, which has become a tradition in the Capital of Pakistan. Central Director Women league Mrs. Farah Naz attended the programme as a chief guest along-with delegation of Naat council from Minhaj College from women.
Minhaj ul Quran Women League Lahore welcomed Rabi ul Awal in a very beautiful way by arranging a special mehfil. It was arranged on 8th March 2008 at Qasr-e-Zauq banquet hall Gulburg. Thousand of women from all over Lahore were present in this mehfil. The proceedings of programme were formally launched by recitation from Holy Quran by Tayyaba Nawaz from Minhaj College for women. Minhaj Naat councils Lahore and Shabina Majida (Naat Khawan Qtv) paid special salutations to Holy Prophet PBUH and made that mehfil really beautiful.
"Namoos-e-Risalat Convention" under the auspicious of Minhaj-ul-Quran International was held on March 2, 2008 in the Minhaj-ul-Quran Park opposite to the Central Secretariat. Organized as an expression of protest against the blasphemous publication of caricatures of the Holy Prophet (saw), the Convention was presided over by Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, the member of Minhaj-ul-Quran Supreme Council. Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Naib Nazim-e-Ala Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Secretary General PAT Anwar Akhtar Advocate, Amir-e-Punjab Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, central leader of PAT Chaudhry Muhammad Sahirf, G.M. Malik, Allama Ali Ghazanfer Kararvi, Allama Irshad Hussain Saeedi, Sohail Ahmad Raza, Allama Shahid Lateef Qadri, Allama Haji Imdadulla Khan, Sajid Mahmood Bhatti and other leaders of MQI were also present at the occasion. In addition to that, the leadership of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League also participated.

On the 23rd of February 2008 Allama Hafiz Nazir Qadri, the Ambassador of Minhaj-ul-Quran International arrived in Halifax UK at Muhammad Javid Akhtars residence to perform the opening of the Al-Minhaj Home Weekend Project for boys and girls which was specially done in celebration of Shaykh-ul-Islams 57th birthday.
The spiritual and uplifting programme was presided by Allama Hafiz Nazir Ahmad Khan Qadri, International Ambassador of Minhaj-ul-Quran along with Shaykh Abu Adam Ahmad As-Shirazi, President of MQI NEC UK and Allama Hafiz Abdul Saeed, Director of Education MQI Bradford. The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur'an, followed by Naat recitation of the Holy Prophet and greetings and salutations on Him, His family and His companions.
On 19th February 2007 the Glasgow Idara hosted a special gathering for the celebration of Huzoor Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri’s 57th Birthday. Allama Shahid Babar hosted the gathering and started off by reiterating the reason for the gathering and made a special supplication for the long life and well being of our beloved Shaykh and also prayed that we become firm upon the Mission and be the way our Beloved Shaykh wants us to be. He then invited Hafiz Ilyas to commence the Mehfil with the recitation of the Glorious Quran, and enlighten our souls with the words of our Lord.
In a humble attempt to reminisce the martyrdom and acknowledge the scale of sacrifices endured by the grandson of the Prophet (SAW), Syedina Imam Hussain (RA), Minhaj-ul-Qur'an International Ireland, dutifully spread the message of Muharram. As a meagre gesture, symbolic of the long journey of the family of the Prophet (SAW) towards Karbala, three days of continuous remembrance and reflection were organised.
Alhamdulillah a splendid mehfil - e - naat was arranged by the Minhaj - ul - Quran International youth brother wing on the night of the 1st january at the center of the Minhaj - ul - Quran International Oslo. The 53rd Birthday of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri conveys to us messages of both happiness and responsibility. The happiness is obvious and justified but only those people can justify their happiness, who are working day and night according to their abilities in propagating the message of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. The achievements of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri are immense, unique and unmatched. As a leading figure of the Muslim Ummah he has fully carried out his responsibilities in multiple fields, setting the grounds to take the Ummah forward. Now it is up to the members of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) in particular and Muslims in general to propagate the message and works of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri to every corner of the world through every possible means. People who are newly acquainted to the achievements of MQI are shocked and wonder why they did not find out about the great work, this peaceful movement is doing for Islam and mankind at large.
'Milad-un-Nabi' a book launched at the conference, which is an encyclopaedia of all issues regarding Mawlid, with its thousands pages, was sold out with in hours of its launch. Three other books of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri in Urdu were also launched on the night. A DVD set of 4 lectures of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri in the English Language on the Legality of Mawlid celebrations together with seven books by Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri in the English language will also be launched in the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, Insha Allah.
It is reported by Hadrat Abdullah ibn Abass that the Holy Prophet (saw) had migrated to Madina and saw the Jews were fasting on 10th Muharram, yawme ashura.
